Who am I?

© Tiphaine Jeanniard du Dot
Passionate about science since I was a child, I first pursued an academic degree in marine biology to explore the mysteries of life under the ocean. After more than eight years of study and a PhD on the behavior of large predators in the Southern Ocean, I turned to what truly inspires me: the transmission of scientific knowledge.
Very early on, I felt the need to create a link between the scientific world and the general public. Too often, science is perceived as complex, reserved for an elite. Yet, it is everywhere around us: it enlightens, questions, opens minds, and helps us better understand the world. It is this conviction that pushed me to become a science communicator.
Today, I'm passionate about making science accessible, vibrant, and exciting. I design talks that are accessible to all, lead workshops in schools to spark curiosity from an early age, and coach scientists in the art of communicating clearly and effectively.
Formerly very shy, I learned to speak in public, to share my passion with conviction, to the point of winning awards for my oral presentations. I put this evolution to the service of others, also offering mentoring and training to help students and researchers gain fluency in speaking and to communicate their science in an engaging way.
As part of my activity, I offer:
- public conferences to arouse curiosity
- fun workshops in schools to sow vocations
- personalized support to help scientists better communicate their work
My goal: that everyone can be amazed, understand, and, why not, get involved in turn.
